Colleague Computing

What is Colleague Computing Services?

The Colleague Computing Services (CCS) department of Information Technology (IT) maintains and supports the main school’s database, the Colleague system and related reporting and online systems and services.

This group is responsible for protecting the stability and integrity of the system, installing new modules and enhancements as appropriate, and ensuring that Colleague is accessible to users when needed.

The department consists of five staff members trained in technical support, database management, and programming.

What is the Colleague system?

The Colleague system deploys the Ellucian Colleague ERP, a higher education ERP by Ellucian (formerly Datatel Inc.)

The Colleague system is made up of several integrated modules (Student, and Enrollment Management, Human Resources, and Financials) which facilitate the processing of all administrative data for the College from prospect tracking through student graduation, accounts receivable and payable, or faculty and staff employment data.

The Colleague system shares information with the other SVA database-driven systems, such as myID, ID cards system, course catalog online, etc.

Colleague integrates real time with MyServices, Ellucian Self-Service web solution for students, faculty and staff. Students can search for classes, see grades and schedules; faculty can submit grades and view class rosters; budget staff can view budget information and process requisitions; and Continuing Education students can search for classes, then register and pay online.

How do I access Colleague?

The Colleague system is accessed via Colleague User Interface (UI). The access is granted to SVA Administrative staff per supervisor request. Refer to Login Request Forms for request forms or click here.
